Work Work Work

Hola everyone. I feel like all I do is go to class and play soccer. Oh, we eat like 5 meals a day. Breakfast, a snack an hour later, lunch, a snack an hour later, and then dinner. At every meal we have a different juice that I have never once had in my entire life. Some are pretty awesome and some are pretty iffy. So I think I am one of the tallest people in ecuador and that makes some people afraid of me. Maybe it is just the fact that I am a gringo, because everytime I say hi, they just look really nervous. My dorm room window looks at this awesome volcano that is covered in snow. I will post a picture once I get one on a clear day and once i figure out how to use these crazy computers. Well, I gotta go and will post again soon. hasta luego.

Arrival

I just got to Ecuador a few hours ago. It has been quite a trip, I must say. I flew to DC on the 16th and have spent the last two days either in a hotel or an airplane. I am excited to be sitting here in a hostal somewhere in Quito. It's funny, because I actually have no idea where I am, but I do have free internet in my room. The Peace Corps folks have been taking great care of us. They even have been providing us with opportunities to eat food and drink water.....crazy I know. Tomorrow we are getting picked up at 8 am on a bus, but I am really not too sure what is going on. I am sure we will learn a lot and have an awesome time. Mawmaw, I bet your the first person to read this. Anyway I miss everyone and as soon as I get to a store I will buy a phone card and make some phone calls.

Pre-Game

Yeah, so I leave for Ecuador on February 18, but before that I fly to D.C. on the 16th. Right now I am just squatting at my parents house in good ol Humble....yeah. Anyway, if anyone ever finds this please feel free to read my blog. I plan on posting to it as often as possible. Since I don't know the internet situation in Ecuador, we will just have to wait and see. I am gonna miss all my friends and family and wish everybody luck in the next few years. Later.
